A Grade I listed London house, sensitively reimagined room by room — period panelling, fine plasterwork and original timber floors held lightly alongside a warm, contemporary palette.
The brief was to honour the building’s history while making it work for contemporary family life. We reworked the plan around the principal rooms, drawing daylight deeper into the house and grounding each space in a restrained, tactile palette.
Bespoke joinery, natural stone and softly aged metals were chosen to wear gracefully — interiors made to settle in over decades, not seasons.
Completed by the studio for a former practice, prior to founding Dent & Willow.
