A pair of principal rooms reworked with warmth, texture and a carefully edited palette.
The brief was to honour the building’s history while making it work for contemporary family life. We reworked the plan around the principal rooms, drawing daylight deeper into the house and grounding each space in a restrained, tactile palette.
Bespoke joinery, natural stone and softly aged metals were chosen to wear gracefully — interiors made to settle in over decades, not seasons.
“They understood the house better than we did — and gave it back to us calmer, warmer and entirely ours.”
